Around 50 people were rescued, while 30 are still stranded at Pali Falls after the water level suddenly rose amid heavy rains in Panaji, Goa's Sattari taluka on Sunday. An officer gave this information.

Superintendent of Police (North) Akshat Kaushal said rescue operations are underway at the waterfall with the help of fire and emergency services personnel.

Being Sunday, a huge crowd was seen at the waterfall in the morning. To reach this beautiful place one has to cross a river.

Amid heavy rains, the flow of water at the waterfall suddenly increased, alerting monsoon lovers. Meanwhile, the river also swelled, leaving them stranded, the officer said.

Kaushal said that 50 people have been rescued so far.

“Another 30 people are still stranded at the waterfall. The rescue operation is going on.
