Mumbai, Aditya Birla Sun Life Asset Management Co on Wednesday said it has raised Rs 2,416 crore from a new fund offering for Quant Fund.

A total of 1.23 lakh investors have placed bets for the new offering, the company said in a statement.

It said the open-ended equity scheme will follow a 'quant-based' approach in investing, using proprietary quantitative models that blend human insight with machine precision.

"The fund aims to leverage the combined strength of human expertise and quantitative models to provide investors with a differentiated investment solution," said A Balasubramaniam, its managing director and chief executive.

He said the fund will provide investors a strategic opportunity with better transparency, emotion-free decision making and strong risk management.
