Belmont, MI (US): Indian golfer Aditi Ashok carded two-under 70 to finish tied 16th in the semi-finals of the Meijer LPGA Classic here.

The Bengaluru player, who has been having an average season, will be playing her third Olympic Games in August and a return to form will be a relief.

Aditi had a bad start in 2024, still not making it to the top-10, but made birdies on the sixth, eighth and 18th holes to score 70 and a total of 6-under 138.

She is five shots behind three-time LPGA Tour winner Ellie Ewing, who shot a 9-under 63 second round through 36 holes for the week.

Moving to T33 after a 70 in her first round, Ewing is tied at -11 for the lead with young Australian star Grace Kim, who advanced 68-65 in the first and second rounds to put herself in prime position ahead of moving day. Keeps it on.

It's a stacked leaderboard behind Ewing and Kim, with LPGA Tour winner Nanna Koerstz Madsen and two-time KLPGA winner Narine An right behind them at -9 and tied for third.

There are five players behind her in the T5, including major champion Alison Corpuz and two-time Meijer LPGA Classic champion Brooke Henderson.

China's Jing Yan, the only player to go bogey-free in both rounds at Blythfield Country Club, entered Saturday tied for fifth.

Notable people who missed the cut coming in at 2-under are six-time 2024 Tour winner Nelly Korda and major-champion Minjee Lee. Defending champions Leona Maguire and Lexi Thompson entered the weekend among 81 players. or at
