Aurangabad (Bihar) [India], Special arrangements have been made for the treatment of heatstroke patients at the District Hospital of Aurangabad, Bihar. District Hospital Civil Surgeon Dr. Ravi Bhushan Srivastava said that a total of 10 patients suffering from heatwave have been admitted in the last 2 hours, out of which five have been declared dead. "Till Thursday the situation was fine. But cases surfaced on Friday. A total of 103 patients came to the hospital and reported their symptoms which were caused by exposure to the scorching sun.He was treated. Most people got better and went back. Some are still undergoing treatment and five of them died," Dr Ravi Bhushan Srivastava said while speaking to ANI.
Highlighting all the arrangements made to deal with heatstroke patients, he said that a special heat ward has been created in the hospital and there are beds with oxygen facilities. “Water, ice and medicines have been provided.Air conditioners are working everywhere. Coolers have been provided wherever required. In most advanced stage cases, patients were in an irritable state or otherwise unconscious. His blood pressure was also high. Some of them also had diarrhea.His tongue was dry. Most of those affected were elderly." Extreme temperatures continue to thrash parts of northwest and central India across the district, with heat wave conditions disrupting people's daily lives, with 24 people losing their lives across Bihar, as the state Severe heat wave is going on in Kaimur district. Four people including one employee on election duty have died in Arrah and Bhojpur districts. Bihar is in the grip of severe heat. And the state government has ordered the closure of all private and government schools, coaching institutes and Anganwadis on Wednesday.Center till June 8, the decision was taken after dozens of students fainted due to the heat. Voting is being held in all seven phases of the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, with the last phase scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 1.
