Gondia, The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Sunday arrested a policeman while accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000 inside the police station in Maharashtra's Gondia district, where he is posted. An officer gave this information.

Anil Faguji Pardhi (54), assistant sub-inspector of Gondia City police station, had demanded Rs 10,000 from a tractor driver for not registering a case against him, he reduced the amount to Rs 8,000 after negotiation, the officer said .

Acting on the complaint of the tractor driver, the ACB laid a trap and caught Pardhi while accepting the bribe amount inside the police station.

The official said that a case has been registered against Pardhi under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
