State AIMIM president and MP Syed Imtiaz Jaleel wondered “why Khan has resigned only as a star campaigner and from the Congress campaign committee.

Jaleel made an open offer to Khan, saying, "Ideally, you should resign from the party which only wants the votes of Muslims, but not their leadership. These parties will do nothing for Dalits and Muslims, but we will accept your resignation." Are ready for it."

"Arif Bhai, why don't you contest the elections on AIMIM ticket, which we are ready to give you in Mumbai... Even if we have already declared our candidate, I guarantee you that we will remove him and Will field you from anywhere." Declare Jalil, hoping to woo Khan.

On his part, Khan cautiously said, "I cannot comment on any proposal of any political party at this time... I am completely a part of the Congress."

Jaleel urged Khan to "show courage and take advantage of AIMIM's opportunity and (kick out) the Congress" by contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Mumbai.

Jalil said, "This can be a big game-changer for you... take it and join us. There is no need to stay in a party that has no respect or dignity for a person of our stature "

He warned Khan that if he missed this opportunity, he would be prevented from "arranging chairs" in the Congress and a pre-determined group would sit in power, ignoring Muslims and Dalits.

AIMIM has started wooing Khan after he upset the Congress-Maha Vikas Aghadi by abandoning his election-related responsibilities after allies failed to field a single Muslim candidate in the state for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
