New Delhi, AAP leaders on Saturday took feedback from party councilors in Delhi on the Lok Sabha elections and pledged to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level.

AAP failed to win even a single seat in Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections. As part of the seat-sharing arrangement with its India Bloc ally Congress, AAP contested four seats, while the grand old party fielded candidates on three seats.

Senior AAP leader and party's Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) in-charge Durgesh Pathak said, the decision was taken to further strengthen the organisation.

He said, "AAP will continue to fight for the Constitution and democracy with the people of Delhi." He alleged that the Narendra Modi-led government is continuously doing injustice to Delhi.

The election results were reviewed in the meeting and the future strategy of the party was decided.

AAP national general secretary (organisation) Sandeep Pathak, its Delhi unit convenor Gopal Rai and other senior leaders attended the meeting.

“Senior leaders decided to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level,” Durgesh Pathak said.

Ward level results reports were also discussed. He said it was decided that the organization needed more strengthening at the grassroots level.

"Everyone decided that even though Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and senior leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are in jail, we will join hands with the people of Delhi to fight the ongoing battle to save the Constitution and democracy," he said.

AAP leaders reviewed the party's performance with its MLAs on Friday.
