Ashok, a resident of BN Reddy Nagar, Hyderabad and working as a contractor, had taken his son and two daughters for a morning walk. After reaching the lake, he drove the car into the water.
When the people in the car started drowning, the local people saved them with the help of ropes.
Initially the local people thought it was an accident. However, initial police investigation revealed that Ashok wanted to end his life along with the children.
Financial crisis is said to be the reason behind this step of the person.
Police have registered the case and started further investigation.
