Georgetown (Guyana), Jasprit Bumrah's pinpoint accuracy allows other players in the Indian team to go for wickets even in extreme pressure situations, said pacer Arshdeep Singh.

The 25-year-old left-arm pacer is among the leading wicket-takers in the T20 World Cup with 15 scalps in six games at an average of 11.86 and an economy rate of 7.41 runs per over.

Bumrah, on the other hand, took 11 wickets in as many games, conceding just 4.08 runs per over, a rarity in the shortest format.

"I think a lot of credit goes to Jasprit because he puts a lot of pressure on the batsmen. It doesn't matter, three or four runs in a row," Arshdeep said after the 24-run win over Australia in St. Lucia on Monday.

"So the batsmen come hard at me and when they try I just have to try to bowl my best ball and there is a good chance of getting wickets there because on the other hand they see that the runs are not coming and the strike rate is going up.

"So, they take more risks against me and there is always a chance of getting a land there. So a lot of the credit for my land goes to Jasprit," he said.

Spinner Kuldeep Yadav once again provided the wickets when the team needed them and just three games into the tournament, he has taken his tally to seven scalps.

"Kuldeep is a champion spinner. Whenever he gets a chance he delivers and he has always been on the wickets and today too he was bowling from the tough side and even against the wind he managed to bowl around 6 and took crucial wickets.

"He is a really important player in our team and we are looking forward to making full use of it and expect him to take a lot of wickets," said Arshdeep, who had David Warner caught at the slips on Monday.

India will take on England in the second semi-final here on Thursday and will have last edition's crushing semi-final defeat to the defending champions in mind before taking the field at the Providence Stadium.

When asked about his plans for the semi-finals, Arshdeep added: "Right now, I don't expect anything from that game, we will just have a small celebration after this game and a long day of travel ahead. And then we will see what conditions exist. and how we can do our best there."

Australia's top bowler of the day, Josh Hazlewood, also gave due credit to Kuldeep and Bumrah, saying they made the difference.

“I thought the wicket was… a pretty good wicket, it was probably a par score of 190 and they took the other end and we went short.

"I thought the chase was well on target for much of the time and probably until Kuldeep and Jasprit, their eight overs, probably proved the difference again as they usually do," Hazlewood said.
