Rewari (Haryana): A 24-year-old man from Rajasthan was allegedly beaten to death by the family of a girl who suspected that he was having an affair with her, police said on Thursday.
He told that this incident happened on Monday night in Chitradurga village of Rewari.
Police said the girl's two uncles have been arrested in connection with the man's death. They have been identified as Dinesh and Ravinder.
Inspector Prahlad Singh, SHO of Khol police station, said, “We have taken him on two-day police remand on the orders of the city court and are interrogating him.”
According to the police, Mohit, a native of Giglana village in Alwar district, had gone to meet the 17-year-old girl at her house on Monday night.
When the girl's grandparents saw him, they raised an alarm and woke up the rest of the family members, who beat Mohit.
The victim was taken to a hospital in Rewari by his family members, who had come to the village after hearing about the incident. Mohit died in the hospital.
Mohit's uncle Rajesh Kumar said, "When we reached there, we found Mohit seriously injured. We took him to a local doctor, who referred him to Rewari, but he died. We didn't know That Mohit had an affair with someone."
