New York, a nine-year-old girl of Indian origin is captivating American audiences with her singing prowess and receiving rave reviews for her performance on a popular American talent show.

Florida's Pranysqa Mishra swept the television talent show "America's Got Talent" last week when she belted out Tina Turner's classic "River Deep, Mountain High."

Her powerful performance of the song left the show's judges Simon Cowell and Heidi Klum hugely impressed.

A report on billboard.com said Mishra's mesmerizing performance earned him Klum's coveted "Golden Buzzer."

“I have always loved singing. Makes me feel happy. Even when she was four years old, she would pretend that she had a microphone and sing as if she was singing for the whole world,” Mishra said according to the report.

Crediting his grandmother for his inspiration and being his driving force, Mishra said his musical idols are legends Turner, known as the Queen of Rock n Roll, singer and "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin and iconic American singer Whitney Houston.

"Despite admitting to some nerves, particularly about performing opposite the notoriously tough Simon Cowell, Pranysqa's confidence shone through the moment she began singing with a commanding voice that belied her youth," Billboard's report said.

The report quoted Klum, who played the much-sought Golden Buzzer that will now send Mishra straight to the live shows, saying, “Oh my god, I wasn't expecting that. "We expect a lot of things, but I didn't expect that."

“I want you to call your grandmother and tell her that Heidi Klum pushed the Golden Buzzer for you,” Klum told Mishra, a German-American model, television host, producer and businesswoman.

Drowned by the golden confetti celebrating her achievement, an excited and elated Mishra said, “My dream is coming true. I can not believe it".

Her family then joined Mishra on stage for an “emotional celebration, with tears of joy and hugs all around,” according to the billboard.com report.

Klum then helped Mishra call her grandmother to share the news of her achievement on the show. "You are absolutely incredible," Klum told the young talent, according to the report.
