An 80-year-old woman was murdered in her house in Panchavati area of Nashik city on Wednesday. Police gave this information.
The deceased was identified as Kusum Suresh Ekbote, resident of Radhanand Apartment, Gulmohar Colony, Mhasrul.
She was living in a rented flat for the last three-four years, an officer said.
He told that when his daughter had gone out for work on Wednesday morning, an unknown person slit her throat with a sickle.
Mhasrul police are investigating further.
