Poonch/Jammu: The Army on Thursday handed over a 72-year-old man to the Pakistan Army near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district and sent him back to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), officials said.

The man, identified as Munir Hussain, a resident of Battal village in PoK, was arrested at Ghora post in Mankot sector of the district on June 4, he said.

This evening the Indian Army deported him via Chakan-da-Bagh. He said that Indian Army officials handed over the man to Pakistani Army officials on humanitarian grounds. 5/25/2024 MNK
