District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav said that C-Vigil app is one of the major mobile apps of the Election Commission, through which any citizen can make a complaint regarding violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC). Election.

"So far, 654 complaints have been received on the app, out of which 605 have been resolved. While 49 complaints were found not to be related to the model code of conduct," he said.

He said that 22 teams have been formed in the district to enforce MCC.

Of these, seven teams are working in Sohna assembly constituency and five teams each in Gurgaon, Badshahpur and Pataudi assembly constituencies.

Whenever a complaint is received on C-Vigil, it is immediately sent from the control room to the flying squad teams of that area.

As per the instructions of the Election Commission, a complaint is required to be resolved within 100 minutes.

"On an average, every complaint in Gurugram is being resolved in 83 minutes. The toll-free number '1950' was activated at the Gurugram Secretariat only after the elections were announced by the Election Commission. 6,725 calls have been received on it in March. numbers since,” Yadav said.

He said most of these complaints were related to making of voter cards and inquiries about polling stations and voter ID cards.

He said around 6,591 out of 6,725 queries were resolved satisfactorily, while 134 calls were found not to be related to Gurugram district.
