Nagpur: A 6-year-old girl died after being hit by a bus run by Nagpur Municipal Corporation on Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred around 4 pm near Model Mill Chawl (Panki Tenement) under the jurisdiction of Ganeshpeth police station in the city.

Aaradhya was playing in front of her grandmother Lakshmibai Chaure's house in Dheeraj Nagdive Chawl when she was crushed by the 'Aapki Bus' run by the civic body, an official said.

He told that the girl was a resident of Jalandhar in Punjab and had come to Nagpur to attend a wedding with her relatives. He said that the bus driver has been identified as Suresh Pardhi, who has been arrested.
