Local media reported on Thursday that the fire caused property damage worth approximately 127.9 billion Vietnamese dong (US$5.03 million).
According to Xinhua news agency, the report said that the number of fires and deaths has increased compared to 2023. Most of the fires were recorded in residential areas, with 823 cases, the report said.
Of the 2,222 fire incidents across the country, their causes have been clarified in 1,299 cases, mostly due to electrical system failure, or careless use of fire and heat sources.
