Bengaluru, Manipal Hospitals Group, with the help of city civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), on Friday helped 41 patients cast their votes in the Lok Sabha elections.

The hospital administration activated its ambulance service to help exercise its democratic right. He said that green corridors were created in all the constituencies to ensure easy, hassle-free voting.

Kartik Rajagopal, chief operating officer, Manipal Hospitals, said the patients were transported to polling stations in vehicles designated by the hospital after a comprehensive health assessment and obtaining clearance from their attending physicians.

According to the hospital administration, all 41 medically fit inpatients were taken to their respective constituencies, accompanied by medical staff including nurses and a doctor.Among them was 39-year-old H N Muralidhar who was scheduled to undergo a minimally invasive surgical procedure on Friday afternoon.
