New Delhi: The experienced duo of Adarsh ​​Muralitharan Sinimol and Pragya Moha will lead the 33-strong Indian challenge at the South Asian Triathlon Championship to be held along with the Asia Triathlon Cup in Pokhara, Nepal on April 27.

Pragya had won her third consecutive South Asian title in the last edition, while finishing ninth in the women's overall category.

The Maharashtra pair of Sanjana Joshi and Mansi Mohite, who had won silver and bronze respectively last year behind Gujarat's Pragya, are part of the 13 Indian athletes in the women's field.

Services' Muralitharan Sinimol, who finished third last year and was the winner in 2022, will lead a 20-member strong Indian challenge in the men's category, which also includes Manipur's pair of Telheiba Soram and Kshetrimayum Kabidash Singh.

The competition is a sprint race consisting of 750 meters swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running.
