New Delhi: Government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) is expecting 30 to 40 million monthly transactions through the platform by March 2025, its CEO T Kosi said on Wednesday.

There were 10 million transactions on the open network in June, up from 7 million in March.

“In March (2024), it was over 7 million transactions. Now in June we had 10 million transactions and I think by the end of the financial year it will be 30 to 40 million (monthly),” Koshy said at a CII event. There has to be a transaction.” Here.

He further said that there are 5-6 lakh traders on the ONDC platform and this number is expected to increase significantly in the coming months.

He was addressing the MSME Growth Summit organized by the industry body.

ONDC was established with the aim of democratizing the e-commerce ecosystem of the country.

Addressing the summit, Sameer Gupta, Chairman, CII National MSME Council, emphasized on the transformative impact of the industry body's initiatives like Digital Saksham.

He highlighted the important role of MSMEs in the economy in realizing the vision of 'New India' as they contribute 30 per cent to GDP and 40 per cent to exports.
