Hathras (UP), Three people died and 15 were injured when a double-decker sleeper bus collided with a truck near Toli village of Sikandrarau police station here on Thursday morning.

District Magistrate Ashish Kumar said that the bus going from Chandigarh to Unnao collided with a truck parked on the roadside.

According to Arvind Kumar Rathi, SHO of Sikandrarau police station, the bus driver, Daljit Singh, 30, died on the spot, while two other passengers, 25-year-old Aadesh Yadav and 32-year-old Saurabh, died in the hospital.

Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure proper treatment of the injured, his office said in a statement.

On Wednesday, a Delhi-bound double-decker sleeper bus hit a milk tanker in Unnao on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, killing 18 people on board.
