New Delhi: The body of a 25-year-old man was found hanging from the ceiling of a hotel room in Central Delhi's Paharganj on Thursday morning. Police gave this information.

Police said that the body was found in PK Hotel, police suspect it to be a case of suicide as the room was locked from inside.

An official said that no suicide note was recovered from the body.

According to police, the man was identified as Mohammad Qasim, who lived with his family in East Delhi's Indira Vihar area.

He told that Qasim's father works in a plastic pipe manufacturing factory.

The officer said Qasim had told his family on Wednesday that he was not going to meet his friend but he reached the hotel.

He stayed in the room and asked the staff to wake him up at 6 am.

The officer said that when the staff came to wake him up the next morning, there was no response from inside.

They then informed the police and fire department, who broke the door and found Qasim hanging. The case is being investigated.
