Bareilly (UP), Police said on Thursday that bodies of two sisters, including a minor, were found under suspicious circumstances in Bareilly district.

The father of the two has filed a police complaint against one of his neighbors and has accused him of molesting and harassing his daughters several times. H also alleged that the neighbor and her sister-in-law allegedly forced her daughters to commit suicide.

Additional Superintendent of Police Mukesh Chandra Mishra said that the bodies of both were found in their house on Wednesday night. One of them was hanging from the ceiling, while the other was on the ground.

His father told the police that he and his wife had left home in the morning to work in their fields. When they returned in the evening, the bodies were found. He said in his complaint that a poison bottle was also found at the spot.

He accused his neighbor and sister-in-law of instigating his daughters to commit suicide.

The father alleges that his neighbor had been harassing his daughters for a long time and along with his friends used to molest them.

As a result, both of them stopped going out, he said, adding that the family did not contact the police first due to fear of shame.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (Bareilly Range) Rakesh Kumar Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police (Ghule) Sushil Chandrabhan reached the spot.

A case has been registered against both the accused. Police said the neighbor has fled, while his sister-in-law has been detained.
