Thane: Two houses were damaged after a tree fell on them in Thane district of Maharashtra. Municipal officials gave this information on Wednesday.

Yasin Tadvi, head of the disaster management cell of Thane Municipal Corporation, said that no one was injured in the incident which took place at Vitawa in Kalwa area around 4.30 pm on Tuesday.

Notably, Thane received rain and storm on Monday.



The official said that the roofs of two single-storey houses were completely damaged after trees fell on them on Tuesday.



After receiving the information, local fire brigade personnel and the team of Regional Disaster Management Cell reached the spot.



The dangerous part of the tree was cut and removed, the official said.
