Indore: Two friends died after coming in contact with a high tension wire while having electric shock while having dinner at a house in Madhya Pradesh's Indore city, while another person was injured. Police gave this information on Thursday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vinod Kumar Meena said that the incident took place late on Wednesday night in a rented house in a multi-storey building in Silicon City of Rau police station area.

Rau police station in-charge Rajpa Singh Rathore said that both the friends died after coming in contact with a high tension power line while standing in the balcony of the building.

Another person, who was making roti inside the house, saw the two clinging to the wire. As he tried to remove them with the help of a piece of wood, he also got an electric shock and suffered minor injuries, he said.

Meena said that the deceased have been identified as Divyansh Kanungo (21) and Neeraj Patte (26).



Rathore said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and a detailed investigation into the incident is being conducted.
