Three people, including a youth found on the roadside in Sikraul police station area, died in Buxar. Local people say that he died due to heatstroke.

Three people lost their lives in Nalanda. The dead include a teacher, home guard jawan and a farmer. The deceased home guard jawan has been identified as Ramesh Prasad (54), teacher Vijay Kumar Sinha and farmer Surendra Prasad.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of severe heat for the next two days in Bihar. The maximum temperature in most parts of the district remained more than 45 degrees Celsius.
