Ranchi: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped on the outskirts of Ranchi, police said on Saturday.
The victim said in her complaint that she had gone to the fair with her friends on Friday night and from there she went to an acquaintance's house.
She told the police that some youths were already present in the house and they allegedly raped her.
"The survivor said that she somehow managed to escape from the clutches of the youth and was found by some villagers outside the house. She narrated her ordeal to them and they brought her to the police station," said an official from Rat police station.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Arvind Kumar said that five people have been arrested in the case.
He said that his medical examination is also being done and investigation is going on.
