Noida, In an important operation aimed at eradicating child labour, the Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) team of Gautam Buddh Nagar police rescued 14 children on Saturday.

"The operation targeted child laborers below the age of 18 years. During the operation, AHTU team in collaboration with NGO Care for You, NGO Rising Together India, DPO office and Child Line Noida conducted raids in the areas of Sector-82 , Sector-110 and Gejha Sector-93 in Noida,” an official statement said.

"They focused on hotels, roadside eateries (dhabas), furniture shops and other establishments where child labor was prevalent," it said.

According to the statement, a total of 14 children were rescued from these places.

Police said efforts were made to educate both the rescued children and their parents about the importance of not employing children in labor and the value of education.

He said that parents were encouraged to ensure that their children get proper education for a better future.

The statement said the police and affiliated organizations are also committed to providing free education to the rescued children, with the aim of helping them become responsible citizens who contribute to the development of the country.
