Gurugram: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by two of her neighbors here, police said on Thursday.
According to the complaint lodged by the victim's father, the incident occurred around 2.30 pm on Tuesday when his daughter was alone at home in a rented house.
The victim was coming down when accused Akil and his friend Priyendra stopped her on the way. The complainant said, Akil sexually harassed her.
He told that when the girl raised an alarm, both the accused ran away.
Based on the father's complaint, an FIR was registered against Akil and Priyandar on Wednesday under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO), police said.
SHO Arjun Dev said, “We are trying to nab the accused.”
