While talking to journalists at an event last week, Anupam Kher came out in support of Kangana.

He said, "I feel very sorry. It is absolutely wrong for a woman to do this kind of thing to a woman by taking advantage of her position. There should be a legal system for this. I am not saying that they have any resentment. I am saying that there cannot be anger towards those who did this, but they should not take advantage of their position or power.Investigation was done. The incident took place on June 6 around 3:30 pm at the Chandigarh airport when Kangana was about to fly to Delhi to attend the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting.

Kangana was allegedly slapped by a CISF woman constable when she was on her way to Delhi for the NDA meeting.An FIR has been registered against the constable under sections 321 and 341 of the IPC, but no one has been arrested.

Hours after the incident, Kangana released a video on her official Instagram page, where she narrated the details and expressed concern over "rising terrorism and extremism in Punjab". In the video, Kangana said, "I am getting a lot of phone calls. From the media and my well-wishers, first of all, I am safe, I am completely fine. As soon as I came out after the security check, there was a person in the other cabin. The security staff came from the side and hit me on the face and started abusing me.

"When I asked her (CISF jawan) why she did this, she said that she supports the farmers' protest.
