Khordha (Odisha) [India], Newly appointed Odisha Cabinet Minister Prithviraj Harichandan visited the famous Shaktipeeth, Maa Bhagwati temple at Banapur, located in Khordha district and sought blessings of the deity for the welfare of the state.

During his visit on Thursday, he said the focus of the government will be on the development of the state and added that they are aiming for a developed Odisha by 2036.

Speaking to reporters, Prithviraj Harichandan said that the government will take decisions in the coming days that will make Odisha a developed state.

He said, “In the coming days, our government will fulfill all the points of the manifesto. We will take such decisions which will lead to the development of Odisha.We are aiming for a developed Odisha by 2036."

The minister further said, "The dream of a developed Odisha has been there for a very long time. People are dreaming but that dream is not being fulfilled. The government is taking all measures to realize that dream."

Talking to journalists after visiting the temple, Harichandan said that the objective of the government is very clear. “For our government, only development matters,” he said.With strong will the government will work to develop the state and work has also started in this direction."

Harichandan said, "We have already fulfilled the three main demands mentioned in the BJP manifesto during the election campaign. We have opened all the four gates of Puri Jagannath temple and we took this decision as soon as we took the oath."

Harichandan further said, “The MSP of farmers' paddy has also been increased from Rs 2183 to Rs 3100. The government will start purchasing paddy at this new rate.This was a long standing demand and we fulfilled it. We also approved Subhadra Yojana, in which each beneficiary woman will get a cash voucher of Rs 50,000.

Mohan Charan Majhi, who was sworn in as Odisha Chief Minister, on Thursday morning approved the proposal to reopen all four gates of Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri and set up a corpus fund for it in his first cabinet meeting.

Two days ago, BJP Odisha took to its official X handle and posted about the decisions taken in the meeting.The post said, "With the decision to bring Samriddh Kisan Niti Yojana soon, the minimum support price of paddy has been increased to Rs 3100. Also, an important decision has been taken to implement Subhadra Yojana within 100 days .BJP said.
