Muzaffarpur/Siwan/Buxar (Bihar), Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said the "New India" led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not need madrassas but modern institutions producing doctors and engineers.

Addressing back-to-back election rallies in Muzaffarpur, Siwan and Buxar Lok Sabha seats, Sarma said if the NDA returns to power by winning over 400 Lok Sabha seats, grand temples will be built in Varanasi and Mathura and Uniform Civil Code will be implemented. Will. ,

He said, "Modi ji's new India does not need madrassas... We need modern schools and colleges which will produce doctors and engineers... not maulvis from madrassas."

Sarma said the NDA will ensure that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, which is an integral part of India, is returned to the country.

He said, "We will implement the UCC, build a temple in the Krishna Janmabhoomi complex in Mathura and establish the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in place of the Gyanvapi Masjid in Varanasi, besides ensuring that PoK after winning more than 40 seats Come back to India.,

Taking aim at the Congress and its allies, Sarma said, "Rahul Gandhi and Lal Prasad did not attend the consecration of the Ram temple. They want to send Ra Lalla back to the tent. We should not let this happen."

He termed Congress and RJD as the "biggest enemies of OBCs" for allegedly trying to introduce religion-based reservation in the country.

Assam Chief Minister said, “Muslims should be given religion-based reservation not in India but in Pakistan.Lalu Prasad should go to Pakistan to give reservation to Muslims. NDA will not allow this at any cost."

Saying that Rahul Gandhi "can never become PM", Sarma said, "He can contest elections in Pakistan and become the PM there. He and his party are doing appeasement politics."

He said, “The corrupt Congress-RJD alliance is trying its best to stop the development of Bihar… Whenever they get a chance, they try to fulfill their interests.NDA is breaking their alliance."

Sarma alleged that apart from fielding their own candidates, Congress and RJD are also supporting independent candidates against BJP candidates on some seats.

“These independents are always in constant touch with Congress and RJD leaders,” he alleged.

While BJP's Raj Bhushan Nishad is contesting from Muzaffarpur, Vijay Lakshmi Devi is contesting from Kushwaha Siwan as an NDA candidate.BJP has fielded Mithilesh Tiwari from Buxar Lok Sabha seat.

Voting will be held in Muzaffarpur on May 20, while in Siwan on May 25 and in Buxar on June 1.
