Nagpur, Maharashtra In another hit-and-run case, a 23-year-old man died after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Nagpur city, police said on Tuesday.

Gittikhadan police station in-charge said that the accident occurred on Katol Road bypass at around 11.20 pm on Sunday night.

He said there was no CCTV near the accident site.

The officer said that the deceased has been identified as Rahul Khairwar, a native of Madhya Pradesh.

He said that a case has been registered against unknown person and it is being investigated.

On February 25, a woman, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, drove her Mercedes car recklessly and collided with two people traveling on a scooter on the Ram Jhula bridge here.

Both riders died after the collision.

The woman surrendered to police on July 1, more than four months after the accident, and was later arrested.

On July 2, a court here had declared his arrest in the case illegal and ordered his release.

A woman died in Mumbai's Worli area on Sunday when a BMW car hit a two-wheeler on which she was traveling and dragged it for 1.5 km, police had earlier said.

He was later crushed by the car before both the occupants fled away. According to the police, two people have been arrested in connection with the incident while the search for the main accused is on.
