The yet-untitled international project, a Hindi-language film, will be shot entirely in the UK.
“Fawad Khan has wide popularity internationally given his popularity among South Asians across the world. He has also been a part of the Marvel cinematic universe. The details of this project are being kept under wraps, and everyone is tight-lipped about it,” a trade source shared.
"The producers will announce the project just before the filming schedule begins in the UK," a trade source said.
The project marks Eastwood Studios' first international collaboration.
The romantic comedy film tells the story of how two broken people come together through a stroke of luck and help each other by unknowingly falling in love.
The source said, "Vaani Kapoor has been a part of big films and she was the perfect choice for this project because of how she has kept herself from being overexposed."
The source said, "The producers wanted an incredibly new cast, where Fawad falls in love with a beautiful Indian girl and Vaani fits the bill."
The project is scheduled to begin in September this year and will be completed by November.
Vaani's upcoming projects include 'Badtameez Gill', produced by Nikki Bhagnani, Vicky Bhagnani, Vinay Agarwal, Ankur Takrani and Akshad Ghone. He also has 'Khel Khel Mein' and 'Raid 2' in the pipeline.
