Srinagar: Rain on Friday morning disrupted International Yoga Day events in Kashmir, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lead the celebrations on the banks of Dal Lake, officials here said.
The main yoga event was scheduled to begin at 6:30 am at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Center (SKICC).
Officials said moderate to heavy rains were reported across the valley, making it difficult to organize open-air yoga programmes.
He said it was raining heavily around Dal Lake, where Prime Minister Modi was to lead the main yoga event.
