"Prajwal's passport will not be canceled if Chief Minister Siddaramaiah joins politics after writing letters to the Prime Minister and the External Affairs Ministry," Joshi told media persons.

He said that the Karnataka Police Department should either provide an official notification to the Central Government or provide a court order regarding the case.

“The SIT has recently provided information to the Centre. Official information was given on May 21, a month after the scam came to light. However, the central government took immediate action against Prajwal. There is a time of 10 days after the information is sent from the state to the Centre.

He said that instead of politicizing the matter, Prajwal should be brought back from abroad.

“The chief minister, who is a lawyer himself, should know that as per rules, the police department should have issued a notice, and specific details of the case should have been sent to the Center along with the FIR,” he said.

Joshi alleged that the state government allowed Prajwal Revanna to go abroad and then started pointing fingers at the Centre.

He said, "Why did the police not take action after the scam came to light on April 21? Prajwal fled abroad on April 28."
