New Delhi [India], Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Tuesday wrote a letter to India Bloc leaders, detailing the alleged attack by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's former aide Vibhav Kumar and sought time to meet him. .

He wrote letters to leaders including former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, Nationalist Congress Party (SP) supremo Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Maliwal, AAP's Rajya Sabha MP, said she has been working on the ground for nine years and has heard more than 1.7 lakh cases in the Delhi Commission for Women. He further alleged that he was 'severely beaten' at CM Kejriwal's place and his 'character assassination' was carried out for speaking against the incident.

Addressing X, Maliwal wrote, "For the last 18 years I have worked on the ground and heard 1.7 lakh cases in the Women's Commission in 9 years. Without fearing anyone and bowing before anyone, I brought the Women's Commission. " It is a very high position. But it is very sad that first I was beaten badly at the Chief Minister's residence, then my character was assassinated.

He said, "Today I have written a letter to senior leaders of the Indian alliance on this subject. I have sought time to meet them."

Delhi's Tis Hazari Court had last week extended the judicial custody of Vibhav Kumar till June 22.

Kumar was arrested by Delhi Police on 18 May. On May 16, Delhi Police had registered a case after receiving a complaint from Maliwal. Vibhav Kumar has also filed a police complaint against Maliwal.

The alleged attack took place on May 13 at the residence of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
