Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: A woman officer of the Public Relations Department allegedly died by suicide in her home on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday. A police officer gave this information.
The official said that Pooja Thapak, around 30 years old, was posted as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the state Panchayat, Rural Development and Labor Minister Prahlad Patel.
The officer said that he probably hanged himself in his house after a family dispute. However, the exact reason behind this extreme step is not yet clear, he said.
When her husband found Pooja Thapak hanging, he took her to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal, where doctors declared her brought dead, the official said.
Sources in the PR department said that she is survived by her one year old son and husband.
The PR department held a condolence meeting and appreciated his work, the official said.
The officer said that further investigation is going on.
