West Bengal (Kolkata) [India], Expanding the scope of investigation into the murder of Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar, the Kolkata Police forensic team on Thursday collected samples from a car found at the spot where the Bangladeshi MP was murdered. The Bangladeshi MP, who entered India on May 12, was last seen on the afternoon of May 13 when he had gone with friends to a house in Bidhannagar near Kolkata for a medical checkup. He was found dead in Kolkata, West Bengal on Wednesday. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the murder of a Bangladeshi MP, Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) said. Following the MP's disappearance, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) urged the West Bengal government to investigate the matter “Anwarul Azim Anar had come here and was missing since May 13.His daughter tried to contact him but was unsuccessful.
