According to rescue officials, the fire was soon brought under control and the process of cooling the building is underway, reports Dawn.

There is no news of any loss of life or property so far.

A fire broke out due to a short circuit on the fourth floor of the Stock Exchange Building on Chundrigar Road, Karachi.

A rescue officer said that as soon as the information was received, two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot to control the situation.

Later, a total of six fire brigades reached the building to extinguish the fire.

Trading on the stock exchange was suspended after the incident.

Investigation is going on.
