Nagpur: A car overturned after hitting a roadside railing in Koradi area here on Tuesday morning, killing two youths and injuring three. Police gave this information.
The victims were returning from a friend's birthday party, an official said.
Vikram alias Ayush Madhukar Gade (20) and Aditya Pramod Punnapawar (19) died in the accident. Three others, Jai Ganesh Bhongade (19), Sujal Rajesh Manwatkar (19) and Sujal Pramod Chavan (20) were seriously injured, the officer said.
They had gathered at Vikram's house for a party before the accident, he said.
Subsequently, when they were heading towards the city, the speeding car crashed into the guardrail near the BSNL office in Panjra area of Koradi. The car, which was reportedly driven by Jai, overturned several times before coming to a stop.
A video showing the car zig-zagging at high speed went viral on social media. Koradi police station in-charge Praveen Pandey said the exact sequence of events was not clear as the injured were unable to give statements.
