The party's below-average performance in UP was one of the reasons for the BJP failing to reach the figure of 272 in the Lok Sabha on its own.

All the district presidents along with other party officials will attend the day-long meeting at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan.

A senior BJP leader said, "Apart from routine matters, many issues will be discussed in the closed-door meeting between the national president and senior state officials."

"The performance of the party in this Lok Sabha election in the state and the reasons behind its poor performance will be discussed in a closed-door meeting with the national president of the party," he said.

The state president of the party will also share details of the review of the party's performance on all 80 Lok Sabha seats.

State BJP spokesperson Hero Bajpai said, "After the formation of the NDA government at the Centre, the BJP president will come here for the first time to attend the state executive meeting on July 14."

"The day-long state executive meeting will discuss the political agenda, farmers' and women's issues and membership drive, among other issues," he said. After the election results, the BJP had formed 40 teams of two members each, which visited all 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state and focused on the seats where the party had lost.
