Addressing a massive gathering in Karnataka's Chikkaballapur town, PM Modi said the first phase of voting has lifted the spirit of the people in the country.

While speaking at the rally, PM Modi also said that those who were earlier considered last, are today being placed at the forefront.
PM Modi said, "A daughter from a tribal family became the first citizen of the country." He said, “Under development for all purposes, the NDA government has given priority to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and youth.
P Modi said, “These sections are beneficiaries of Mudra Yojana which provides loans. Plans are being made to increase the loan amount from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.,
He said that the Congress government has betrayed the farmers in Karnataka by stopping the subsidy of Rs 4 crore given by the state government during the previous BJP government. PM Modi said, "I am sure that you will punish the anti-farmer Congress government."
The Prime Minister further said: "The poor people of this country never thought that they would get free ration. This has turned into reality. Lakhs of families are availing the benefit of free treatment. In Chikkaballapur, 4 lakh families got the benefit Is.Senior citizens above 70 years of age will be given free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
"In the last 10 years, 25,000 houses have been built in Chikkaballapur and Kolar. Three crore more houses will be built."
PM Modi also said that Nandi Hills, located close to Bengaluru, will be developed as a weekend getaway.
PM Modi said, “The NDA gets its inspiration to develop modern infrastructure from Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda (founder of Bengaluru)."
