According to ANAROCK data, Delhi-NCR remains the hotspot for real estate transactions across sectors and as in the last financial year, land deals have been a significant part of real estate growth.

"Around 26 separate deals amounting to about 298 acres of land were proposed for residential and township projects to meet the growing demand for housing and urban development in the area," said Santosh Kumar, vice-chairman, Anarock Group.

At least two land deals measuring more than 7 acres were planned specifically for commercial real estate projects.

“A separate deal of about 8.61 acres was dedicated for an education-related project,” Kumar said.

In Delhi, one deal of 5 acres was closed for residential development, with Gurugram leading the way with 22 deals totaling 208.22 acres.

According to the report, these included one deal each for educational, residential and retail purposes while the remaining 20 deals were exclusively for residential development.

A deal for 15 acres of land was finalized for residential purpose in Faridabad.

An 8.9-acre deal was secured for a residential development in Greater Noida and a larger 62.5-acre deal was secured for a township project in Ghaziabad.

"Noida closed three separate deals covering a combined area of ​​13.96 acres for both residential and commercial development," the report said.
