New Delhi: Two children were found dead and their mother injured at their home in east Delhi on Saturday, while their father was missing, police said.
According to the police, they received a call at 2 pm about Shyam (42), resident of Shashi Garden, Pandav Nagar, who was missing and whose house was locked since Friday.
A police team immediately reached the spot and found the house locked from outside. Upon going inside, they found the siblings, a 15-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl, dead and their mother lying unconscious in a room, the police officer said.
The victims were taken to the hospital where doctors declared the child dead. He told that the woman is undergoing treatment.
Another police officer said, it is suspected that Shyam killed his children, attacked his wife and fled from the spot.
Police teams have been formed to nab Shyam, the officer said.
