Hyderabad, Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Tuesday attacked the Congress government for allegedly not implementing its promises made to women, including financial assistance of Rs 2,000 per month.

Addressing a dharna organized here by the state BJP's Mahila Morcha demanding fulfillment of promises made to women by the Congress, she said the ruling party had, among other things, assured a social security pension of Rs 4,000.

He claimed that the Congress was not implementing six election 'guarantees' in Telangana and was also not implementing its election promises in the neighboring state of Karnataka.

He said, although Congress had come up with the slogan of 'Garibi Hatao' long ago, it was not effective in eradicating poverty. He said that BJP will continue to struggle to implement all the election promises of Congress.
