Thane, The body of a 40-45 year old man was found in a creek in Maharashtra's Thane district on Friday. An officer gave this information.
Local people saw the body at Reti Bunder Bay in Mumbra area around 8 am and informed the police.
Yasin Tadvi, head of the disaster management cell of Thane civic body, said his rescue workers pulled the body out from the creek and it was sent to the government hospital for post-mortem.
Police have registered a case of accidental death, an official from Mumbra police station said.
