Dhanbad: A 25-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified persons near Law College in Jharkhand's Dhanbad district on Friday.
The incident took place near Law College Telipara. Local people saw the injured person soaked in blood at around 5.30 in the morning.
The victim was identified as Amardeep Bhagat.
Bhagat was immediately taken to Sahid Nirmal Mahato Medical College and Hospital (SNMMCH).
SNMMCH emergency ward in-charge Professor (Dr) Dinesh Kumar Gandauria said that Bhagat was breathing when he was admitted, but he died during treatment.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Deepak Kumar said they have started investigating the case from various angles, including the possibility of a love affair.
