Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Mahika Pandoh, resident of Udhampur district, has topped the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) class 12th (Science stream) examination in Jammu division with 98.4% marks.

Speaking to ANI he thanked his parents for supporting and motivating him.

Pandoh said, "I got 492 marks out of 500. This made me happy because my hard work paid off. My parents supported me.She has recently qualified for NEET exam. He scored well in that test."

Giving advice to other parents, she said that if a girl has the support of her parents, she can achieve whatever she wants.

JKBOSE on Friday announced Class 12 combined annual results, with the overall pass rate in Jammu and Kashmir standing at 74 per cent.

As per details, the overall pass percentage includes 77 per cent female students and 72 per cent male students, with women securing top positions in all streams.A total of 93,340 students were enrolled for the exam, out of which 69,385 were declared successful, officials said. Of those declared successful, 25,435 students achieved Distinction, 33,437 achieved First Division, 10,318 achieved Second Division and 195 students achieved Third Division.
