Mumbai: Kotak Mahindra Bank customers on Monday reported difficulties in accessing banking services for more than 11 hours due to server problems of the private sector lender.

Kotak Bank customers faced difficulties in completing transactions like UP payments, fund withdrawals and accessing online banking in the morning and expressed their problems on social media.

Late in the evening, around 10 p.m., a bank spokesperson said, "normalcy has been restored" on technical servers.

Throughout the day, the bank was working to resolve the situation and return to normal operations.

Earlier in the day, the bank had said that its "technical servers are experiencing intermittent slow down" and work is underway to restore services as soon as possible.

It may be noted that the Reserve Bank has been pressuring lenders to work very hard on such aspects and has also taken exemplary action in the past against some lenders due to outages.
