Lancashire [UK], Australia spinner Nathan Lyon got the better of England skipper Ben Stokes in the latest edition of the Ashes rivalry that has unfolded in the ongoing County Championship. Lyon, playing for Lancashire, got the better of Durham's Ben Stokes on the second day of the Vitality County Championship Division One match. In the first innings, Stokes struggled to build on his innings with the Lancashire bowlers sticking to their line and length. Stokes scored two runs from 16 balls before Lyon lured him through the outside edge to end his stay at the crease. This is the 10th time the Australian has dominated the England captain in the red ball format.The eight-ball battle between the two was enough for the fans to watch the entertaining clash, with Lyon forcing Stokes to stumble with his impeccable footwork and taking an edge to the English batsman, who was caught by Tom Bruce at second slip. Took it quickly. Lyon shone with 4/59, but Tom Aspinwall took his first five-wicket haul and grabbed the headlines with his 5/41, which restricted Durham to 23 runs, in reply to Lancashire's 357, Durham's first innings total under Davy Bedingham. Saved by 101 runs. Stokes performed brilliantly with the bat and took a wicket in his very first over. Opener Luke Wells sent his shoemaker to Matthew Potts. Ben Raine took the second wicket by dismissing Josh Bohannon for 38(49).Lower-table Lancashire, looking for their first win of the season, ended the day with a score of 91/2 and a lead of 212 runs over Durham. In another game, England opening batsman Jack Crawley recorded a golden duck for Kane against Somerset. Crawley's compatriot took two wickets to lift Somerset and put his team in the driver's seat. Somerset made a huge score of 554 runs and in reply Kent lost five wickets at 108.
